Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
The short version: Pendio runs entirely on your device. It reads your
Strava activities so it can analyze them, and that analysis stays on your phone.
Pendio has no server, no account system, and no way to collect or store your data —
nothing you connect is ever sent to the developer or to any third party.
Who is responsible
Pendio is an independent app developed by Guglielmo Cecero. For any privacy question,
contact hello@pendio.app.
What data Pendio accesses
When you connect your Strava account, Pendio can read:
- Your activity list and activity details (type, date, distance, duration, elevation).
- Activity streams for activities you open — GPS coordinates, altitude, and heart rate — which it needs to compute terrain and gradient metrics.
- Basic profile information returned by Strava during sign-in, used only to associate the connection with your account on your device.
Pendio requests only the Strava permissions it needs to read your own activities.
How your data is used and stored
- All analysis happens on your device. Your activities and the metrics Pendio computes are stored locally on your phone only.
- Pendio has no backend server. Your Strava data is never transmitted to the developer or uploaded anywhere.
- Your Strava access tokens are stored securely in the device’s Keychain.
- Pendio does not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, and does not expose your data to any third-party advertising, analytics, or AI service.
Third-party services
Pendio connects to Strava
solely to read your activities, governed by Strava’s own
Privacy Policy.
Pendio uses no other third-party data services.
Your choices and control
- You can revoke Pendio’s access to Strava at any time from your
Strava connected apps settings.
- Deleting the Pendio app removes all of its locally stored data from your device.
Children
Pendio is not directed to children and is intended for use by adults with a Strava account.
